Five counties, one home base. Xcel Outdoor Living builds fences, decks, and outdoor lighting across Bureau, LaSalle, Putnam, Marshall, and Lee counties. That is the Illinois Valley, and it is home. We work out of Spring Valley, so most jobs are a short drive from the shop, not a day trip from somewhere else.

Why it matters that we’re from here.
Short drives mean we show up when we said we would, and coming back to look at something later is a drive rather than a scheduling problem.
We also build for this ground. Fence posts go in below the frost line, which is what decides whether a run is still straight in its third year.
And parts of this valley are rocky enough that a crew from out of the area finds out mid-dig and comes back to you with a cost. Jake reads the ground while he is walking it with you, so rock is priced in before you are given a number. The number you were given is the number.
The work also stays where we live. A fence we built badly is a fence we drive past, which is a sharper incentive than anything we could promise you on this page.
